My Writing History

I'm a Chilliwack copywriter and when it comes to writing I'm a bit of a geek. My typing speed developed shortly after I learned to talk, and from there floppy discs full of adventurous tales were strewn about the house. Later in life I began my own Christian blog and enjoyed crafting articles about my life. Doing this helped me get through challenges with chronic pain as well as surviving through a cancer diagnosis in 2017. Thanks to my blog, I had the opportunity to be featured at Challies.com, The Gospel Coalition, Risen Motherhood, Desiring God, and by the University of the Fraser Valley. Even though this blog is mostly dormant now, I was recently discovered by an international publication agency and asked to write a book on prayer. Since I took the plunge with this request, my first book will be released in major retailers August 2022.

I’m excited to see my writing career grow, and now expand into content strategy and copywriting for websites.

My Life as a Chilliwack Copywriter

I love my life and community of Chilliwack, British Columbia, where I live with my husband and our two daughters. My husband Brent does web and graphic design at soapboxstudios.ca, and we like to partner up to create both beautiful and effective websites. We want your website to reflect your company's quality and values, as well as convert viewers to clients. Since this is so important to us, I take on the job of helping businesses refine their goals and communicate effectively through their website. We make sure the completed project will achieve what it's intended to. In other words, sell more products, receive more quote requests, and create lasting connections.

Meeting local business owners and hearing about their aspirations gets me out of the office, and makes me happy. I love the diversity of people in the Fraser Valley, and creating relationships with those I serve is what makes working as a freelance copywriter so rewarding. As a freelance copywriter, I'm blessed with the opportunity to help business owners and service providers stand out in their market through strategic website planning.

Areas of special interest for me include health and fitness, personal growth, mental health, and the great outdoors. Therefore hiking Mount Thom, Elk, Cheam, or any other mountain around the Lower Mainland is where I feel the most free.
